Martha Eddy

Dr. Martha Eddy, CMA, RSMT, EdD, is the Founding Director/Director of Programming and Research of Moving For Life, Dynamic Embodiment (a Movement Therapy Training using Somatic Education), and Center For Kinesthetic Education (Private Practice & Work in the Schools).

Martha is a passionate advocate for health and human expression, with a focus on the importance of the body-mind connection—somatic awareness, embodiment, movement, and dance. She is the author of many publications about embodiment and movement development, as well as the book Mindful Movement, which was published in 2016.

Education is at the heart of all of Martha’s work. She develops curricula for people of all ages—supporting pregnancy, early childhood, K-12, and adults into graceful aging. She partners with universities and diverse agencies to research the role of movement in health, education, and the arts for children and adults. She also works with individuals, schools, and organizations to offer insight into practical ways to engage in wellness and healthy movement.
